I have a question I am creating a group called pitch support. for authors who are trying to pitch their ideas for both screen and books. I have to knowledge for books as a publisher but I need a representative for film/animation/cartoon pitching.
Kyle, I'm not trying to come on to you or anything, but I love all of your off-model FBs and CCs. I'm a writer, so I don't really know about shit like that. I just see cool drawings of FB and CC, and I look at whether or not their expressions and antics fit the script. It's those OTHER Nazis who care about models and shit! Great attitude shown in the CCs above. #2 is like, "*I* dunno what happened to the electric bill. I put it in the mailbox!"
You're TOTALLY coming on to me. And my pointy hugs.
Thanks, Russ. The expressions weren't the problem... in this instance. I had to redraw them with something closer to Chum Chum's proportions. Also, we can't bend his body much. It's a beach ball, basically, so we can't really draw a torso he ain't got. We don't want to offend the torsoless children of the world. Glad you like 'em, though!
Man, I never got used to it. I'm especially impressed with people that know the Photoshop brush system well enough to make really organic-looking drawings and paintings. BTW, I appreciate the descriptions you put on the images -- that stuff will make it extra-helpful for all the members of the group!
Oh my lord I love these. I adore these. Sometimes I wish Fanboy and Chum Chum was 2D just so he could flop around like that. It looks so organic. He looks so charismatic and full of life. Damn, can I just... love these forever? Can I fav this a million times?
Here's a little copypasta from Wikipedia to help you out: "Off-model is an animation term used to describe a cartoon character drawn out of par with the original source material or model sheets. A model sheet is a document used to help standardize the appearance, poses, and gestures of an animated character. "
I'm currently a storyboard revisionist on the show, but starting next monday, I'll be a storyboard artist! Woo! You're very welcome! I joined for season 2, so you haven't seen any of my work on the show yet. I love it there.
