The Rock-Afire Explosion! The animatronic stars of one-time Chuck E Cheese competition, Showbiz Pizza Place. Man, I really fell in love with these guys after seeing the documentary about it. It seriously made me sad to learn the new ones had been shut down.

one of my bestfriends really liked these guys alot as a kid! I saw the documentary on it, very sad story :(

yeah I used to go to ShowBiz Pizza almost weekly as a young kid my uncle either took me there or a movie, it wasn;t the same when it became Chuck E Cheese's here in town :(

I was born in '89, so I didn't really get to grow up with the RAE (shame, too, as one of the former Showbiz Pizza's is almost literally up the block from me).

That having been said, I've actually warmed up quite a bit to the RAE, particularly after seeing the movie (Thank heavens fate denied Showbiz from pulling a Ren and Stimpy with Fechter. These characters may live again)

Yeah, it's kind of ironic; The RAE is slowly making a resurgence as themselves, while Chuck E. has to be turned into Kurt Cobain ([link]) in order to plug up sagging sales.

I actually didn't. I need to see it again.
